Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic:
Top Ten Books I feel as though everyone had read but me:
There are a lot of books that have hit the bestseller lists, but I still haven’t read. But most of those books and the kind which I’m most likely never to pick up. For instance, any Nicholas Sparks novel or the books that fit into the ‘paranormal young adult’ genre. But there are some books that I could have read by now, along with the thousand other people who read them; but I didn’t get around to it. There are the books everyone seems to have read, except, unfortunately, me:
1. Lord of the Rings by J. R. R Tolkien – I am going to save these for some long vacation somewhere down the road.
2. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
3. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
4. The Stand by Stephen King
5. The Tiffany Aching books (from the Discworld series) by Terry Pratchett – I will read them. Soon.
6. Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
7. Sandman series by Neil Gaiman – I am still not convinced that I could like comic books.
8. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin
9. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
10. The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher – From this entire list, I probably want to read these the most!

I've read at least one book of everything you have on this list…except the last one, with which I am completely unfamiliar.
My post is Top Ten Books I Feel As Though Everyone Has Read But Me. I'd love to have you sign up for my contest to win a $25 Amazon giftcard this month at my blog!
I haven't read Fahrenheit 451 either, but feel the need to! Ditto with Water for Elephants. I have read the first of The Dresden Files and so want to read the next ones.
Here's my TTT: krweinert.blogspot.com/2011/09/top-ten-tuesday.html
Only read no. 2…and btw, (I think) you won a contest (Tower of Parlen Min) on my blog! I sent an email, but no reply.. :S possibly sent to junk mail??
Water for Elephants is fantastic. Definitely worth the hype. Lord of the Rings, despite its popularity, is not a series I ever plan on reading. It just doesn't interest me.
I really enjoyed the LOTR Trilogy and The Hobbit. Water for Elephants is a magical read. I have book one in the Dresden Files but just haven't found the right time for it.

I've only read about half of these. I'm still not convinced that I want to read the Lord of the Rings.
Oh my gosh, To Kill a Mockingbird is my absolute favourite book in the entire world- I have to recommend it as strongly as any book has been recommended to you in your life! The Stand is also quite an achievement once you've read it, but there are definitely better Stephen King books that I'd recommend more.
I'm reading the first book in George Martin's series now. It's great so far, but I'm only 19 pages in. It's HUGE. His writing style is to die for though, I must say.
Books of Amber
number 3 and 9. you haven't read. number three you got to read. good book.
my list are: sidnebkclubreviewz.blogspot.com
I feel like such a slacker for having never read To Kill a Mockingbird…
You know, the good thing about your list is… You're so lucky! You still get to read these books for the first time! Most of these are my all-time favorites: F451, The Song of Ice and Fire, Tolkien, To Kill a Mockingbird…those are all great! Well, there's no time like the present!
Deb Nance At Readerbuzz – Dresden Files is supposed to be a fantasy/mystery series about a private investigator in Chicago; I've heard a lot about it. The fact that you've read almost my entire list, just proves my point!!
Alexis @ Reflections Of A Bookaholic – I have convinced myself to give LOTR a try!
Laura – I don't want to, as far as I can, leave any Stephen King book unread! That's a huge recommendation; I'll get on it immediately 🙂
Amber (Books Of Amber)- The HUGEness is what has been keeping me away from all of R.R.Martin's books! Happy Reading, though!
Borkadventures.Com – That's a great way to look at it; didn't think about that!
Thanks for stopping by!
